Heidi Montag Works Her Butt Out for Chad Waterbury

In this video, Kris Gethin – editor in chief of bodybuilding.com goes out to interview a Playboy Model to know how she got her playboy body.  Her name is Heidi Montag and her workout trainer is no other than Body of Fire Author Chad Waterbury.  They will be discussing how Heidi got her body into shape for her Playboy photoshot J Ms. Universe, and a new season of The Hills TV Show all in the beach in Malibu.

Heidi claims to have worked her but off.   She worked out 5 days a week and did what Waterbury instructed.  The look she was after, was a sexy figure without being too muscular or too skinny- just curves.  The technical term is her “bikini body”: shapely hips and thighs, and athleticism in the upper body (without too much mass).

Then she points out that she had no butt before these workouts!! Her butt was too skinny and she wanted powerful sexy curves.

This is what she did:

First of all, she loves running and stretching, but a specific exercise that got her a better butt was a deadlift, she says that she can do one with up to 100 pounds (her body weight), so this exercise will lift up your butt (girls).

She did shorter and intense exercises, rather than long cardio sessions.

And here’s a big one: She says starving yourself is the WORST thing a girl could do to try and look sexy, this a huge misconception. (super thin girls who starve themselves have more of a deprived look).  You have to eat nutritious food to have the energy to train and transform your body.

Instead since the workouts sped up her metabolism, she ate more (protein, fruits and vegetables).  But she did eat less carbs and sugars as she approached her photo shoot.  And twice a week she has two cheat meals where she eats whatever she wants without a guilty conscience (but just 2 meals a week-don’t get carried away).

Supplements:

Her main supplement is two t. spoons of fish oil as part of her nutrition.  This helps her skin, hair, immune system, and just everything.

Chad Waterbury points out that for women who fear getting too big, the key is to just control the volume.  So  just don’t do too much repetitions of any one exercise or that will over develop a part of the body.  Also, you should workout regularly because if you take too much days of your muscles grow their biggest and you would want workout with heavier weights than you should too.

What about reps?  Chad says to focus on how many of them you could do in 10 seconds. This could be 5 times for a heavy weight, or 15 times for a light weight.

On a more personal note, Heidi loves having little races with her boy at the beach.  She is also currently working on an book with Waterbury.

In the mean time if you combine the Body of Fire program with the bikini body perspective, you might just get the results you’re looking for.
